The James Whitcomb Riley Festival Association recognized the need for additional financial support of the arts in public schools and is pleased to announce this grant program to further the visual and performing arts in Hancock County schools.  The Riley Festival presents opportunities for people of all ages to exhibit or demonstrate their artistic talents through several events held during our annual celebration of the birth of James Whitcomb Riley, “ The Hoosier Poet.”  Through this partnership program, educators will be able to maintain or expand existing programs or develop new approaches to increase the artistic talents, interest in or knowledge of the arts of their students.  Programs funded may include, but are not limited to, the graphic arts, drama, music, and resource materials for libraries.  A maximum of $500.00 will be awarded to approved grant applicants.
