The Festival is held in downtown Greenfield, Indiana, at the intersection of US 40 and Indiana State Road 9.

There is no entrance fee or charge for events. All activities are free.

The James Whitcomb Riley Birthplace and Museum is located at 250 West Main Street, Greenfield, IN. Tours of the Home will be offered hourly at no cost with tickets available at the Riley Festival Information Tent at the intersection of US 40 and Indiana State Road 9. These free tours are offered in recognition of the 50th Riley Festival this year.
Because of the numerous events scheduled during the Festival, events are not rescheduled if cancelled.
Parking is available in public lots in the downtown area and on streets around the Festival area. We recommend that you use our shuttle service to avoid parking congestion in the downtown.

Yes, shuttle service available from the Hancock County 4-H Fairgrounds, located at 620 North Apple Street. A fare of fifty cents is collected to ride the shuttle.
Yes, in marked public parking areas. Parking is readily available at the Hancock County 4-H Fairgrounds, located at 620 North Apple Street, with shuttle service to and from the Festival area.
We have not been able to locate a vendor for wheel chairs or power scooters. Our shuttle service can transport one or two folding wheel chairs on each trip.
The Flower Parade will be held on Friday, Oct. 2, 2020 at 12:30 pm, beginning on South State St. and proceed to the front of the Hancock County Courthouse at the intersection of US 40 and Indiana State Road 9. in downtown Greenfield.
The Riley Festival Parade held on Saturday will begin at the Greenfield Central High School on 810 North Broadway at 11:00 am. The parade will proceed south to US 40, east through Downtown Greenfield, and ending in Riley Park.
Only service dogs are allowed in the Festival area.
Our office during the Festival will be located in City Hall, 10 South State Street during the stated hours of the festival hours of the Festival.

Once the festival is over our office will resume operations at our permanent location located at 312 E. Main Street, Suite C, Greenfield, IN 46140
Information about vendors is available at the Riley Festival Information Tent at the SW corner of US 40 and Indiana State Road 9.
Port-o-lets are throughout the Festival area, with the main locations on East Main Street by the Hancock County Sheriff's Department and near the Greenfield Fire Department on South Street. Watch for signs to locations.
A First aid station is located in the Greenfield Police Station tent located at the corner of North State Street and US 40. Medical emergencies are also handled by EMS services of the Greenfield Fire Department.

The Lost and Found will be located in the Festival Office located in City Hall, at 10 South State Street.
